Hospital Management System - HMS is state-of-the-art
software that offers Comprehensive Solutions to various
segments of Health Care Industry whether it is Super
Speciality, Multi Speciality or a General Hospital of varied
bed capacities, or small Nursing Homes, HMOs, Polyclinics
or for a General Practitioner.
It is an ERP Solution for the Hospitals as it addresses the
issues from multi-disciplines viz., Patients, Services,
Doctors, Pharmacy and Hospital Management.
The software caters to both CLINICAL as well as PATIENT
CARE aspects of the Hospital. The software is divided into
different modules, each module addressing to a specific
activity of the hospital that suit BETTER PATIENT CARE.
The software is seamlessly integrated with Clinical
Information System to capture, store and retrieve X-rays,
CT, MRI other images as also other patient related
documents. The system supports DICOM standards for
management of Images. Since the system is web enabled, the
images could be transmitted through the Internet to any part
of the globe for opinions. It supports latest technologies like
Medical Transcription and Tele-Medicine, which is a means
to reach the patients at remote locations.
The design conforms to specifications of Version 2.3 of the
Health Level Seven (HL7) Standard for Electronic Data
Exchange. HMS will also be re-engineered inline with the c h a n g e s /
modifications that
are being done by
HL7.

use the software, robustness of the back-end RDBMS helps in
high integrity of data and minimum access time irrespective of
data volume.
The application runs on Windows 2000 Server and Windows
95/98/ME/2000 Clients with MS-SQL Server as the back end.
The front end is developed using Visual Basic 6.0. HMS is built
on Client-Server Architecture. The application is developed
totally on Microsoft environment. |
